I started my creative career drawing on my parent's furniture. From that point on I took a ridiculous amount of workshops and received a BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design. In college I focused on metalsmithing and discovered enamel. It was the perfect mesh of the two mediums I had fallen in love with. It opened up another world of technique for me. In my current paintings I'm using the materials much like I would with traditional enameling.-layer upon layer. Each layer interacting differently and sometimes unexpectedly with the one below it, creating a piece that varies wildly from my beginning expectations. Each paint stroke, layer of resin, is as much an act of emotion as one of logic.
Come step into my world.
